Anyone 18 years or older with relevant skills, professionalism, and reliable communication can apply. Most Genies are based in the Philippines.

How does the pre-vetting process work?

After signing up, you go through three stages:

2. Skill assessment or interview — testing your capabilities and English communication.
3. Internal review — our team evaluates your results, background, and experience.

Once approved, your Genie profile becomes visible to clients and eligible for task invitations.

How does the pre-vetting process benefit me?

Clients prefer pre-screened talent. Being pre-vetted increases your credibility and ensures only qualified Genies receive paid opportunities — you're not competing with unverified applicants.

Is it free to join RemoteGenies?

Yes. Applying and creating a profile is free.

RemoteGenies deducts a 30% platform service fee from each completed and approved project payment.

How long does the application and approval process take?

Typically 3–5 business days, depending on your skill test completion and profile verification.

Why was my application declined? Can I reapply?

Applications may be declined if:
1. Your skills didn't match current client demand, or
2. Your assessment score didn't meet the qualification threshold

You can reapply at any time. There is no waiting period.
You may retake assessments immediately after improving your profile or skill test performance.

Do I need prior freelance experience to join?

Not always. RemoteGenies values proven expertise and professionalism over platform experience. Many Genies came from corporate or full-time backgrounds before transitioning to freelancing.

How are freelancers matched with clients?

Genies receive task invitations based on skill match, or are matched by the RemoteGenies operations team. You can also submit bids on tasks that fit your skillset. No random job searching required.

How are my rates determined?

Rates are set by RemoteGenies based on:

2. Your specific skillset and role
3. The current market rate for your field and expertise level

This ensures consistent, fair, and competitive pay aligned with your professional value.

What is the platform service fee?

RemoteGenies retains a 30% service fee per completed task. You receive 70% of the total client payment directly into your Genie Wallet after approval.

The platform fee covers:
1. Secure payment processing and escrow protection
2. Access to verified, pre-vetted clients
3. Administrative and operational support
4. Dispute resolution and payout management
5. Continuous platform maintenance and marketing

How do payments and payouts work?

1. Client payments go into escrow while a task is ongoing.
2. After the client’s 7-day review period, funds are released to your Genie Wallet.
3. You can then request a payout, which is processed through the platform’s verified payout system (after ID verification and approval).

How often do Genies get tasks or projects?

It depends on your skills, reliability, and profile performance. Highly rated and active Genies receive more frequent invitations and repeat work from satisfied clients.

Can I work part-time or full-time on the platform?

Yes. RemoteGenies supports part-time, full-time, and flexible engagements depending on your availability and performance.

Can clients rehire me directly for new tasks?

Yes. Clients can reinvite or directly assign you to new projects through the platform. Direct rehiring is encouraged, as long as all work remains on-platform.

How does RemoteGenies ensure client legitimacy and fair pay?

All clients are verified before posting tasks. Payments are secured via Stripe escrow and only released after task approval, ensuring Genies are paid fairly and on time.

How can I increase my chances of getting accepted?
