Why should I join RemoteGenies instead of other freelance platforms?

RemoteGenies is not a generic job marketplace — it’s a curated, pre-vetted network. Unlike other platforms where freelancers compete in open bidding wars, RemoteGenies ensures you work with verified clients, receive consistent support through project coordinators, and enjoy transparent pay rates and secure payments.

Who can join RemoteGenies?

Anyone 18 years or older, with relevant skills, professionalism, and reliable communication, can apply. Most Genies are based in the Philippines, but the platform welcomes qualified applicants globally.

How does the pre-vetting process work?

After signing up, you’ll go through the following stages:
1.Profile creation – personal info, location, and skill categories.
2.Skill assessment or interview – testing your capabilities and English communication. 3. Internal review – our team evaluates your results, background, and experience.

Once approved, your Genie profile becomes visible to clients and eligible for task invitations.

How does the pre-vetting process benefit me?

Pre-vetting helps you stand out among thousands of freelancers. Clients prefer pre-screened talent, so this process increases your credibility and ensures that only qualified Genies receive paid opportunities.

What kind of freelancers or skillsets does RemoteGenies accept?

RemoteGenies accepts Genies in a wide range of fields, including:

Is it free to join RemoteGenies?

✅ Yes. It’s completely free to apply and create a profile. RemoteGenies only deducts a 30% platform service fee from each completed and approved project payment.

How long does the application and approval process take?

Typically 3–5 business days, depending on your skill test completion and profile verification.

Why was my application declined? Can I reapply?

Applications may be declined if:
1. Your skills didn’t match current client demand, or
2. Your assessment score didn’t meet the qualification threshold.

You can reapply at any time — there’s no waiting period. You may also retake the assessments immediately after improving your profile or skill test performance.

Do I need prior freelance experience to join?

Not always. RemoteGenies values proven expertise and professionalism over platform experience. Many successful Genies came from corporate or full-time backgrounds before transitioning to freelancing.

How are freelancers matched with clients?

Genies may:
1. Receive direct invitations from clients based on skill fit, or
2. Be assigned by the RemoteGenies operations team to projects matching their expertise and availability.

How are my rates or earnings determined?

Rates are set by RemoteGenies, based on:
1. Your work experience and backgroundYour specific skillset and role
2.The current market rate for your field and expertise level

This ensures consistent, fair, and competitive pay aligned with your professional value.

What’s the commission rate on RemoteGenies?

RemoteGenies retains a 30% service fee per completed task. You receive 70% of the total client payment directly into your Genie Wallet after approval.

Our platform fee covers:
1. Secure payment processing and escrow protection
2. Access to verified, pre-vetted clientsAdministrative and operational support
3. Dispute resolution and payout management
4. Continuous platform maintenance and marketing

This structure ensures fair compensation for Genies while keeping the RemoteGenies platform sustainable and reliable for both freelancers and clients.

How do payments and payouts work?

1. Client payments go into escrow while a task is ongoing.
2. After the client’s 7-day review period, funds are released to your Genie Wallet.
3. You can then request a payout, which is processed through the platform’s verified payout system (after ID verification and approval).

How often do Genies get tasks or projects?

That depends on your skills, reliability, and profile performance. Highly rated and active Genies receive more frequent invitations and repeat work from satisfied clients.

Can I work part-time or full-time on the platform?

Yes. RemoteGenies allows you to accept part-time, full-time, or flexible engagements, depending on your availability and performance.

Can clients rehire me directly for new tasks?

Yes. Clients can reinvite or directly assign you to new projects through the platform. Direct rehiring is encouraged, as long as all work remains on-platform.

How does RemoteGenies ensure client legitimacy and fair pay?

All clients are verified before posting tasks. Payments are secured via Stripe escrow and only released after task approval, ensuring Genies are paid fairly and on time.

How can I increase my chances of getting accepted?
